# DID for Everything: Unified Identifier DADi (Decentralized Autonomic Data item), dDID (derived-DID)

A 23-slide talk by Samuel M. Smith at the Internet Identity Workshop (IIW), 2018-10-24, the earliest of the "DID for Everything" decks. It presents DIDs as unified identifiers, Decentralized Autonomic Data (DAD), derived DIDs and chaining of data items for provenance, building on the author's RWOT papers. It predates KERI.
