# KERI Q&A: basic introduction (IIW Spring 2021)

A 15-slide deck by Henk van Cann prepared for questions and answers at the Internet Identity Workshop (IIW), spring 2021, giving a basic introduction to KERI: what it is, why and for whom, and four concepts to grasp first (no blockchain needed, duplicity detection, direct and indirect modes, pre-rotation). It also explains how to use the KERI Q&A on GitHub, which grades answers by reader level. For newcomers.

Labels: reading level Introductory; evidence informative (an author's paper, deck, tutorial or post explaining the suite).
