# GLEIF Unveils Issuance and Infrastructure Models for Verifiable LEI

A GLEIF press release announcing the issuance and technical infrastructure models for the verifiable LEI (vLEI), a digital counterpart to the Legal Entity Identifier intended to let businesses verify each other's identity automatically. It is an early milestone in the vLEI's history.
