# did:webs Task Force meeting, 2023-10-27

A post-IIW (Internet Identity Workshop) report covered an X.509 VID (verifiable identifier) specification. Discussion covered how to show users that the DID (decentralized identifier) document was verified from the keri.cesr file, human readability (judged not yet a priority), did:plc handles, and the whois presentation: an optional did:webs feature published as a W3C Verifiable Presentation (v1.1 first), with JWT (JSON Web Token) and ACDC proof alternatives, media types to signal the presentation type, and a related DIF (Decentralized Identity Foundation) Linked Verifiable Presentations work item proposal.

Labels: reading level Practitioner; evidence official (a statute, a regulator's document, or a standards body's own page).
