# did:webs Task Force meeting, 2023-09-15

First meeting as an official ToIP (Trust over IP) task force: the specification moved to the new trustoverip/tswg-did-method-webs-specification repository, with a new reference implementation repository to follow, and chairs and maintainers were to be appointed. Discussion revisited the resolver architecture and proposed treating verification data as a CESR stream, noting that the CESR MIME type is on the IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) roadmap and that a .cesr extension may fit better than .keri, which also aligns with the TSP (Trust Spanning Protocol). Plans for IIW (Internet Identity Workshop) October 2023 included a registered DID (decentralized identifier) method, a Universal Resolver implementation and a "did:webs for Muggles" session.

Labels: reading level Practitioner; evidence official (a statute, a regulator's document, or a standards body's own page).
