# KERI Dev Focus Call #1, 2022-09-01

Kickoff of the CESROX effort, a Rust implementation of CESR: who would consume it (KERIpy, KERIox, an ACDC Rust library, and a foreign function interface (FFI) layer for other ecosystems), a definition of a minimum viable product (MVP) as the full CESR specification in its text representation, with binary to follow, and design ideas such as code tables as extension points and a data-model-agnostic parser. Action items covered a dev branch, an architecture diagram, porting CESR code out of KERIox using the nom parsing crate, porting tests from KERIpy, and the open licensing question of consuming EUPL code into Apache 2.0.

Labels: reading level Practitioner; evidence informative (an author's paper, deck, tutorial or post explaining the suite).
