# The Future of Digital Identity and KERI (Cardano Academy course, 18 units)

A free, self-paced course of eighteen units, licensed CC-BY-4.0, that walks enterprise users, decision-makers and developers through self-sovereign identity, autonomic identifiers, the key event log, pre-rotation, witnesses and watchers, OOBIs, SAIDs, CESR, ACDC chaining, the vLEI, agents and wallets, and where KERI sits in the Trust over IP stack, with Veridian as the live reference. The Academy calls it its first AI-assisted course release; the written course is the source, with videos to follow. The live page at cardanofoundation.org/academy/course/digital-identity-keri was rate-limited when read, so the source repository is the page read on 21 October 2026. This is the training Thomas A. Mayfield referred to in the SEDI education thread of May 2026.
