Discussion covered the DIF (Decentralized Identity Foundation) Recommended DID (decentralized identifier) method process: its rationale of narrowing more than 200 DID methods to a short list in web-based, ephemeral and fully decentralized categories, the methods in review (did:webvh first, then did:cheqd, did:web+ and did:scid), and that the process makes no quality or security judgment. Independent security audits of KERI (one by Cardano, one by healthKERI, both unpublished) and an eventual security comparison of did:webvh and did:webs were raised. Action items were to arrange the did:webs submission to DIF and to look at migrating to Spec-Up-T.
