The reference implementation moved to Hyperledger Labs (did-webs-resolver) and the original specification repository was donated to ToIP (Trust over IP). A report from a did:webplus meeting compared signed DID (decentralized identifier) documents, discovery versus control bound to the AID (autonomic identifier), backward hash links versus versionId, optional duplicity detection, and possible synergies between did:webplus and did:webs. Planning continued toward IIW (Internet Identity Workshop) October 2023 and a pending IANA CESR MIME type registration.
